About the Usenet Bully FAQ
Why this FAQ?
The current webmaster has spent several years on Usenet, many of them in alt.binaries.sounds.mp3. The discussion group for that hierarchy has been targeted by a small group of bullies. This FAQ attempts to help subscribers of any newsgroup understand the nature of Usenet bullies and trolls and to give them strategies to minimize the effectiveness of their bullying behavior.
How
is this FAQ different from other troll FAQs?
In fact, it is not much different. It gathers much of the same information and
presents it in a somewhat different fashion with an emphasis on the bullying
behavior. By all means, read the other troll FAQs. They have information that
this FAQ is lacking. This FAQ addresses primarily the bullies who cross-post to Newsgroups:
alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.d (and other MP3 newsgroups),
alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc.d, alt.binaries.news-server-comparison, with a mixture
of other groups, such as other warez groups, thrown in.
About the Webmaster
Absolutely unimportant. It doesn't matter who the webmaster is, only that you get good information. Besides, the bullies have already plastered my personal information all over Usenet, so it is readily available.
